Online Technical Support

Choosing your internet connection type

1. Dial up settings

Stealth Big Brother supports only two types of internet access.

The first is setup in the Dial up settings box. this automatically detects any dialup access that you already have configured on your system and will appear in the drop down box called Connection Name

It is not normally required for you to enter your username and pass word.. these fields can be left blank if they are already specified in your dial up settings which is normally the case.

2. Use Proxy Settings

This is required only if you connect to the internet via a software proxy.

It may also be required for ISDN and ADSL users.

For network users you should refer to your network administrator for advice on the correct settings. Normal proxy settings for Windows users are 192.168.1.1 Port 21 and protocol is normally <user>@<site address>

NOTE: If you connect via a gateway then access to the internet may only be available with the installation of a software Proxy for this software to work on FTP and e-mail functions.
